ST FRANCIS RECEIVES INTERFAITH COUNCIL AWARD

At the 12th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast organized by the San Francisco Interfaith Council, St. Francis was among several congregations honored for working on disaster preparedness and retrofitting.

The Property committee is working on disaster preparedness so that our facilities could be made available to the community distressed after a disaster as was the case in the first year of St. Francis’ existence in 1906.

Our thanks to Pastor DeLange for his leadership at the SFIC.

    DO WE HAVE YOUR PLEDGE?

Member pledges of time, talent and treasure are critical to the council's budget planning process, which will begin in mid-December. The council needs everyone's help in in order to plan for the 2010 calendar year. If you have not turned in your pledge forms, please submit them to the church office in care of Janet Thuesen or place them in the offering plate as soon as possible. If you need pledge forms, please contact Dave Walda.

    Pastor Robert at AIDS Day

Pastor Robert and two of twenty volunteers who stood at the Civic Center BART exit to educate commuters about AIDS. Their signs reflect what people have and can do positively to further AIDS prevention.

    Christmas Angels

Thanks to all who have chosen to gift a child at the Center. Please wrap your gifts and mark them clearly. If you will not be in church on December. 20th. you may bring them to Dave's office. Otherwise, plan to bring them with the Offertory on Sunday December 20. If you have not chosen a name and would like to, call Nancy Record 415-861-1818 days, or anytime on the cell: 415-286-8840.
