DEACON COMMISSIONING TODAY

Our liturgical deacons will be commissioned today during service. Congratulations to Grant Burger, Bruce Jervis and Paul Johnson into this important ministry of our congregation.

NEW MEMBERS BRUNCH CANCELLED

The special brunch to introduce our latest new members, that was to have been held today has been postponed until a later date. The brunch will be rescheduled for sometime in the fall.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE HOSTS COFFEE HOUR TODAY

The coffee hour today will be hosted by the Stewardship Committee. They will also be accepting sign-ups for worship participants– assisting ministers, crucifers, ushers, lectors, as well as anyone interested in hosting coffee hour or providing flowers.

Check the sign-up chart with your calendar and make advance sign-ups so you don’t miss an opportunity.

Anyone who has questions about a specific task can speak to one of the committee persons.

$10 SYMPHONY TICKETS

On Thursday, September 10, the All San Francisco Concert Committee will sponsor a concert for the whole community at Davies Symphony Hall. The Concert recreates the Opening Night concert program with Michael Tilson Thomas and pianist Ilya Yakushev:

Ravel, La Valse
Prokofiev, Piano Concerto No.3

For this to work for us we will need a minimum of 10 tickets at $10 each paid in advance no later than Sunday, July 26. Let’s go together and enjoy that special evening! See the pastors.

Sign up soon for the 2009 Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28. Both Lutherans and Episcopal bishops will be present, to celebrate communion for all and to walk with us. Join us and walk proud.
