WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:
Those serving in the world:
Today following the worship service, Grant Burger will have the Worship Participant sheet. For those persons who indicated an interest in helping with worship on the Participation Form, returned with the pledge forms, this is your chance to reserve your favorite Sundays for the next three months for one of the various roles: lector, assisting minister, crucifer, usher, flowers, and coffee hour host. After service, go to the Parish Hall, get your coffee, and go see Grant.
Training for the various worship participant roles will also be held today. After coffee and sign up with Grant, persons who will or would like to find out about being a worship participant will gather in the sanctuary. Even persons who have not signed up but want to know more about those important parts of our worship are welcome to attend. This training will also be held on January 27th.

There will be training for persons interested teaching Sunday School n today at 10 AM. Teachers will be introduced to the curriculum series. This program includes lesson plans, suggestions and other helps so that teachers do not have to develop a class from scratch.
An ecumenical initiative begun in the early 20th Century, will be observed at Old St. Mary's Catholic Church on Sunday, January 20 at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. James DeLange, Chair of the San Francisco Interfaith Council, will be the preacher.
Old St. Mary's is in Chinatown at California St. and Grant Avenue.

Jeannine Janson and her sister Marilyn and family thanks all for the many prayers given while Marilyn was in the hospital. Marilyn is out of the hospital, and doing well.
The LGBT & HIV Advisory Committee of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission is currently recruiting new members who represent the full diversity of the LGBT community. The LGBTAC provides assistance and advice to the commission regarding discrimination against LGBT communities and persons with AIDS/HIV. Applications are due by Jan. 24, 08, and persons applying must be a SF resident. More info at www.sfgov.org/sfhumanrights or 415/252-2500.
If you would like one of your pastors to listen to your concerns or pain, don't hesitate to ask us -make an appointment, or ask us to call you or mark the pew card. We can be distracted at times on Sundays, so it is best to set aside another time when we can really listen. Pastors Robert and Dawn
