REDEDICATION OF FOUNDATION STONE AND NEW PLAQUE

Foundation Stone Plaque

Our Sunday worship will end outside on the sidewalk of Church St. as we rededicate the foundation stone, the contents of the time capsule and unveil the historic plaque.(shown above)

Through these acts we bear witness to each other and to the people of the community of our dedication to Christ and to the ministries in Christ’s name that occur through us, because of us and because of this building.

We thank Pr. James DeLange for his efforts in the preparation of the plaque and in making the 100th Anniversary of the building such a positive experience and opportunity for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the vision of St. Francis Lutheran Church.

WEEKLY STEWARDSHIP Q & A

What is Stewardship

Stewardship is our congregation deciding together how to best use our collective resources to make our ministry happen. For example, we called our pastors, Pastor Robert and Pastor Dawn, to lead us, to lead our worship, and lead our ministry programs. We have committed to their presence and to make supporting them and their work a priority of our giving of time and money.

WE REALLY NEED TEACHERS

For our exciting Sunday School to succeed we really need to have you as a teacher. Teaching will be in 4-6 week segments and there will be training and lots of material support. Please, prayerfully consider becoming part of the teaching team. Please see Pastor Dawn as soon as possible.

WE CARE

If you would like one of your pastors to listen to your concerns or pain, don’t hesitate to ask us -make an appointment, or ask us to call you or mark the pew card. We can be distracted at times on Sundays, so it is best to set aside another time when we can really listen. Pastor Robert and Dawn

UPDATE ON THE FOOD BASKET

It has been wonderful to see the basket of food processing to the altar during Sunday worship. Some of the food has been used to make soup for the homeless, which is one of their favorite meals. Please continue to bring your food offering to church on Sunday mornings and leave it in the basket as you enter the sanctuary.

Food that can be accepted include: canned vegetables, canned fruit, tuna, canned meats, soups, stews and chili, peanut butter and cereal (no glass containers or perishable food, please). Some of the food will be used for Sunday’s Community Hospitality. The remaining donations will be given to the San Francisco Food Bank.-Pastor Dawn
