A NEW ERA BEGINS AT ST. FRANCIS
When Dawn Roginski steps into the pulpit this Sunday, her action does a whole more. The long period of transition is about to end.
According to our Vision we have planned for a Lead Pastor and a Pastor of Parish Programs. Now Pastor Robert Goldstein and Pastor-elect Dawn Roginski have been called to those respective positions by St. Francis through the Holy Spirit.
Ever since the gradual departures of our four pastors, The Revs. James DeLange, Phyllis Zillhart, Ruth Frost and Michael Hiller, we have been in a period of transition -a long transition. Now that stage is coming to a close. We give thanks for their ministries with us.
Throughout the long period of transition many have stepped forward to keep our ministries going. We thank you all. In regard to the ministry of worship we thank especially Prs. Paul Brenner and the late Jim Lokken, Fr. Evan Ardley, and the many who have been preachers and worship committee members during that time. Upon Dawn’s ordination we will have two pastors to preach and preside. Along with them we continue to have the vital ministries of lay Assisting Ministers, Crucifers, Lectors and Ushers. Thanks for being there then and now!

SUNDAY CLASS
We are reading Diana Bass' Christianity For the Rest of Us, a real alternative to the religious right and a model with which to test St. Francis' vision.
FIFTH SUNDAY FORUM
The next fifth Sunday, July 29th, will be our first Fifth Sunday Forum and it will combine the coffee hour with an open forum of Council and Congregation on our worship life. Another Fifth Sunday Forum is planned for September 30th as an open forum on our Property.
ATTENTION PRIDE PARADE & AIDS WALK PARTICIPANTS
If you are planning to walk in either the Gay Pride Parade or the AIDS Walk you need a Tie Dyed T-shirt. Bring a clean white t-shirt to the Tie Dye party held at St. Marks at 6 PM Saturday May 19th.
BLESSING OF THE BIKES NEXT SUNDAY MAY 27
We will have a rite of blessing of the bikes and their riders for the AIDS Lifecycle ride next Sunday during worship service.
