ST. FRANCIS TO HOLD TRIAL VIGIL
On August 8, 2006, Bishop Ronald Warren, SE Synod ELCA filed formal charges against the Rev. Bradley Schmeling (left) because of his commit-ed relationship with Rev. Darin Easler. St. John’s, which stands in solidarity with Pastor Schmeling, prays the ELCA will change its policy or that Bishop Warren will drop the charges before a disciplinary hearing is scheduled to begin on January 19, 2007.
Dear members of St. Francis, do sign up for the Prayer Vigil on the above site. It is very easy to do. Ask Rob Byrne and Pastor Robert who have signed up. And do bring our spiritual energy in the Holy Spirit to bear on the people and proceedings in Atlanta by attending the Vigil here on Friday.
Worldwide Prayer Vigil
During the hours that the trial is in session, members of St. John's will keep vigil. Those wishing to keep watch and pray in solidarity during this time with others around the world may register online at http://www.stjohnsatlanta.org/prayervigil.
