CONGREGATION ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual Meeting for 2007 will be held on Sunday, February 11, following worship service in the Parish Hall. All voting members are encouraged to attend.

ST. FRANCIS TO HOLD TRIAL VIGIL

On August 8, 2006, Bishop Ronald Warren, SE Synod ELCA filed formal charges against The Rev. Brad Schmeling because of his committed relationship with Rev. Darin Easler. St. John's, which stands in solidarity with Pastor Schmeling, prays the ELCA will change its policy or that Bishop Warren will drop the charges before a disciplinary hearing is scheduled to begin on January 19, 2007.

Worldwide Prayer Vigil

During the hours that the trial is in session, members of St. John's will keep vigil. Those wishing to keep watch and pray in solidarity during this time with others around the world may register online at http://www.stjohnsatlanta.org/prayervigil.

St. Francis in Vigil

On Friday evening, Jan 19 at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary at St. Francis we will hold a Service of Prayer and Solidarity with the people of St. John's Lutheran Church, Atlanta.
More info: http://www.stjohnsatlanta.org.

TRANSITIONS

As our liturgy today celebrates the Baptism of Jesus, we also entered the Epiphany Season because in that story of Jesus' Baptism God is revealed, thus ending the Christmas Season.
To mark this end, the Christmas tree is taken down. Please take the time to stay after worship and help remove the tree decorations.
